Twin Cities Professional Nannies, a nonprofit organization, presents a day of professional and personal growth at our 7th Annual Nanny Development Conference and Member Meeting. This is an open event - great for parents, nannies and other childcare professionals alike.
Conference Speakers and Workshops
Karina Berzins - Internet Safety
For the past 8 years Karina has been with the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension as Training and Education Coordinator with the Internet Crimes Against Children unit.
Jon Jensen - Health and Fitness for All
Jon is a certified personal trainer, fitness coach, and head instructor for the personal training program at Saint Paul College. He is a Certified AIS Stretching Specialist, Group Fitness Instructor, and has experience in adolescent exercise program design.
Kristi Christman - Negotiation and Assertiveness: How to Get What You Need in Every Day Life In this session, we'll talk about how to begin the conversation in a diplomatic fashion without damaging the great relationships you have with the families that you care about. This will not only help you in your work life, it will help you in your every day relationships and in your future career.
Prize Drawings - Tickets will be available for $1 each for a prize drawing and there will also be a drawing open to all attendees without charge. All proceeds of the drawing will be used for TCPN events and services.
Current Fundraiser - This year round fundraiser from the Current Company features many of the wonderful products of that company and other specials. A portion of each sale goes directly to TCPN. Their online ordering makes it convenient for anyone, anywhere.
Shopping Center - Nannies and others will have craft items to sell onsite with a portion of the proceeds going to TCPN for ongoing programs and services.

There is an early bird deadline of September 27, 2008 which offers a discounted fee for both members and non-members alike. Registration includes all workshops, round tables, lunch and snacks, and access to venders.
